The Divača substation is key energy infrastructure in the western part of Slovenia.
Project basis and goals
The Divača 400/110-220/110/35/10 kV substation represents an engineering achievement that enables the supply of the Primorska region and the western part of Slovenia with electricity. This demanding infrastructure is not only a tangle of transmission networks at different voltage levels, but also a bridge between the past and present of the energy system. It is a junction of lines of different voltage levels and a key connection between the former Yugoslav 400 kV loop and the modern UCTE system. Within the substation transmission network switches operate at 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV voltage levels.
Key upgrades in the recent period
Since 2015, a large-scale renovation and upgrade of the electrical switchyard has been underway, which includes the installation of a new transformer, capacitor batteries, compensating dampers, and the upgrading of the transmission line and circuit breakers. In addition, the replacement of equipment, the installation of a new 35 kV switchyard, and the restoration of the control, protection and measurement system in different voltage levels are being carried out.
IBE services
As a designer, IBE participates from the very beginning of the project in the production of all phases of the project documentation, from the expert bases of the investment documentation, conceptual design, project for obtaining a building permit, all the way to the tender documentation (DZR), which serves as the technical basis for the selection of the contractor, construction implementation documentation (PZI) and after the as-built project documentation (PID) and instructions for operation and maintenance (NOV).
