Parking garage in the green surroundings of Selška Valley

Project basis and goals

The parking garage for personal vehicles is intended for employees of the Domel production complex. It is located northwest of the production complex, on the opposite side of the regional road.

The garage building has two floors: a covered ground floor parking floor and an open parking floor on the roof. Access to the upper parking floor is along the north side of the building, via an alternating one-way ramp. Pedestrian access is arranged along the NE and SW facades via paved surfaces that follow the terrain.

The structural design of the building is a wall-frame, reinforced concrete structure. Due to the steep terrain, the building is completely buried on the north side.

Project basis and goals

Project solutions

A key basis in the design of the building was a subtle placement of the garage in the green residential area below a hill. The building is designed in such a way that it does not stand out due to the greening of the facade elements on the main road facade.

The demanding location at the foot of the hill conditioned both the design of the parking lots and the additionally necessary anti-erosion measures.

Project solutions

IBE services

IBE produced several conceptual solutions for the Domel parking garage, documentation for obtaining a building permit, a project for construction implementation, and participated in the role of technical consulting and design supervision during construction.
