Location
Kidričevo, Slovenia
Time period
1998-2001
Facility size / capacity
Installed capacity: 3 x 4.30 MW, natural gas inlet pressure: 24 bar, compressor station outlet pressure: 50 bar, natural gas flow: 540,000 sm3/h
The Kidričevo Compressor Station is a key element of the uninterrupted supply and transmission of natural gas in Slovenia.
Project basis and goals
The natural gas transmission compressors are powered by a 4.30 MW open-cycle gas turbine. The capacity of the Kidričevo CP is 540,000 Nm3/h at a design pressure of 50 bar(n). The Kidričevo KP allows the two-way transmission of natural gas in the direction of Austria and in the direction of Croatia. The facility meets the natural gas supply needs of industry and power generation facilities. The station is fully automated and unmanned and allows remote control of the entire station from the Plinovodi control centre.
Kidričevo CS is the first natural gas compressor station in Slovenia designed by IBE d.d.
IBE services
IBE prepared conceptual design, a project for obtaining a building permit, a project for the construction implementation and as-built project documentation.
During construction, IBE was involved in a technical advisory and design supervision role.
