Project basis and goals
At the existing location in Ravne, the investor decided to invest in the development of a forging program based on the development of heavy forgings weighing over 35 tons in light tone design.
The analysis of the existing facilities showed that the most appropriate and functional solution was the installation of the technology of a new forge with all the necessary technological and other necessary equipment (a press with the necessary accompanying rooms, furnaces, tempering basin, cooling towers, transformer station, etc.) in the existing facility Jeklarna 1, which was not in use.
Project solutions
The works were carried out in two phases:
- In Phase I, demolition work was carried out, refurbishment of the existing steel structure of the hall and the addition of a new steel structure - new nave in axes 1-15 / A1-B and extension of the steel hall in axes 14-15 / B-D.
- In Phase II, the purpose of the building was changed from a steel mill to a technologically renovated forge with all the necessary construction and installation interventions and the installation of all the necessary technological equipment.
IBE services
IBE prepared conceptual design, aproject for obtaining a building permit and participated in the role of technical consulting and design supervision during construction.
